Wickham Lodge is steeped in history. There is thought to be a dwelling on this special place on the riverbank since the 13th century. The current building indicates that there were two Tudor Lodges with a passage way between their Inglenook fireplaces. This is clearly shown at the back of the house. In 1760 the Georgian extension at the front and side was built making one country house.

Cherith and Richard have supervised the modern refurbishment creating facilities that are in keeping with this Grade 2 listed building in a conservation area, whilst providing accommodation that is more than acceptable in this day and age.
